Snowman Trek

One of the world's toughest treks across high passes and remote Lunana.

Overview

The Snowman Trek is one of the most challenging treks in the world, crossing a series of high passes among remote Himalayan peaks and exploring Bhutan's least accessible region. For nearly two weeks the route remains above 4,000 metres, crossing 11 passes and moving past glaciers, yak pastures, isolated highland villages and turquoise lakes that almost no traveller ever sees. Prior high-altitude trekking experience is essential, and flexibility is needed because the route may need to change if conditions shift. Those who finish it often describe it as one of the most profound experiences of their lives.
