Overview

The Rhododendron Festival celebrates Bhutan's spring bloom and the country's rich biodiversity. Held at Lamperi Royal Botanical Park between Thimphu and Punakha, it combines guided walks, folk performances, local cuisine, crafts, and conservation awareness. Bhutan is home to dozens of rhododendron species, and the festival reflects a wider Bhutanese philosophy: the natural world is not a resource to be used but a living heritage to be celebrated.
