Our Pilgrimage through the Valleys of Western Bhutan

A quieter, contemplative journey that includes the Haa Valley.

Overview

A quieter, more contemplative journey designed for those who come to Bhutan not simply to see it but to feel it. Where Window to Bhutan covers the western highlights at a comfortable tempo, this pilgrimage ventures deeper and slower, including the rarely visited Haa Valley and following the spiritual thread that runs through Bhutan's most significant sacred sites. Haa is one of Bhutan's least-visited districts, a pristine alpine valley that only opened to international visitors in 2002, where Lhakhang Karpo and Lhakhang Nagpo stand side by side in the valley floor. In Punakha, the walk through mustard and rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang is one of the most beautiful rural walks in the kingdom. In Paro, Taktsang is approached as a pilgrimage to the place where Guru Rinpoche meditated in the 8th century. The itinerary also leaves room for farmhouse visits, monastery pauses, and unscheduled moments that tend to become the ones you remember most.
