Nabji–Korphu Trek

A lowland, community-run trek through Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park.

Overview

This trek goes in a completely different direction from Bhutan's high-altitude routes. Nabji–Korphu is a warm lowland journey through Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park, with broadleaf forest, paddy fields, waterfalls and Monpa villages instead of glaciers and passes. It is Bhutan's first community-run eco-trek, so the hospitality, campsites and porter support all come from local villages. Birding is excellent here, with Golden Langurs, hornbills and more than 395 recorded species in the surrounding forests.
