Druk Snowman Trek

A demanding high-altitude route finishing at Gasa hot springs.

Overview

Also known as the Jomolhari–Laya–Gasa Trek, the Druk Snowman follows the opening section of the full Snowman route before descending to finish at Gasa. It is one of Bhutan's most scenic and demanding treks, moving through alpine meadows, high passes and dense subtropical jungle with views of Mount Jomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang. The route passes through Laya, where the Layap highland community offers a glimpse of a distinct way of life, and ends with a soak in the famous Gasa hot springs.
