Druk Path Trek

A classic high-altitude trek between Paro and Thimphu with lakes and passes.

Overview

The Druk Path is the classic short trek between Paro and Thimphu, combining a high-level route with visits to some of Bhutan's most memorable cultural landscapes. It begins through apple orchards and pine forest before climbing above the tree line to high lakes, yak herder camps and passes with spectacular Himalayan vistas. Jele Dzong, Phume La and Phajoding make the route feel both historic and scenic, and the trek works especially well for travellers who want one walk that feels complete without being long or extreme.
