Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek
A remote alpine trek along lakes and ridgelines south of Thimphu.
Overview
A quieter alternative to the Druk Path, the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek follows a remote alpine ridge south of Thimphu and is celebrated for its chain of crystal-clear lakes, open meadows and sweeping Himalayan views. It is one of the best treks for solitude in Bhutan, with clear days opening vistas toward Jomolhari, Masanggang, Jichu Drake and even Kanchenjunga. The trail camps beside still lakes and crosses high passes through a landscape of yaks, wildflowers and silence.
